We are wrapping 2007 up quickly. Has everyone made there new years resolutions? I don't make any because I just break them. I do want to do a lot of things this next year with my kids though! We have a few trips planned. We want to go to Bob Evan's Farm in Rio Grande, Ohio; and also to Dayton Air Museum. I want to go to a Clipper's Game with my brother before they move out of Cooper Stadium, and maybe catch a Red's game with him also!
There a lot of places right here in Licking County for a family to go. A few of our favorites are Dawes Arboretum, Moundbuilders Park, Flint Ridge and The Works. We also like to go a little farther and go to Old Mans Cave and The Rock House in Hocking Hills. We usually visit the Columbus Zoo or Rolling Ridge Ranch once a year. Later!!!!!!!!!!

WEATHER

Looks like we are in for some cold and snowy weather come the first of the new year. I saw on the news they are calling for flurries and lows in the teens. I like the snow but I don't like the ice. It never bothered me that much until I started driving 60 miles round trip to work every day. I am just glad my wife and kids don't have to go far in it. We live close to the school they attend and my wife is a stay at home mom. It works out pretty good for us. Later!!

STORES

My wife talked me into going to the stores with her and I can't believe how busy they are still!! Everyone must have gotten a gift certificate to wal-mart! I think everyone in Newark was there. I saw family members I haven't seen in years. I don't think I am gonna let her talk me into that again.
I want to thank everyone for voting on my baseball poll. I have to admit, I voted for Johnny Bench also. I want to also state that I think "Pudge" Rodriguez is the best in the game today. Leave me some feedback on what you would like to see as a new poll. Also let me know what game you would like to see on my page and I will try to get it on here. Later!!

VACATION

Today is my last day of Christmas shutdown and I am not ready to go back to work. I have done so much with my kids the last few days it was fun. I think I am starting to act like them. If I could stay at home and make money I would probably get tired of that also, a job is a job no matter where or how you do it. Later!!

MADE IT!

Merry Christmas!!! Everyone is happy! It is a beautiful day. A little chilly, if you are out to long. 2007 is almost a wrap. It doesn't seem like it was that long ago when everyone was whining and crying about y2k! Where does time go? I was always told the older you get the quicker it goes and I am finding this to be true. I want to wish everyone a safe and a very Merry Christmas!

We are one day closer! Did I get everyone what they wanted? Is there going to be stuff to be returned? Once I get through tomorrow night at my dad's, it will all be downhill from there. 1 day, 1 hour and 47 minutes until Christmas day. It is coming fast. Hope everything goes ok! Later!!

WHEW!!

One Christmas down and two to go!! What a day! Christmas is still my favorite holiday but I think I lose interest in it every year. It is becoming to commercialized. People forget what it is suppose to represent and think it is about how much you get. Two more days until Christmas day! Later!!

CHRISTMAS IS COMING AND IT IS COMING FAST!! I HOPE EVERYONE IS READY. AS YOU CAN SEE BY MY COUNTER THERE ISN'T VERY MUCH TIME LEFT. MY WIFE AND I FINISHED UP THIS MORNING. SHE WRAPPED EVERYTHING LAST NIGHT THAT WE HAD SO FAR. WE HAVE CHRISTMAS WITH MY MOM TOMORROW THEN WITH MY DAD CHRISTMAS EVE. OUR GIRLS WILL CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS MORNING! THAT SHOULD BE FUN. I AM READY TO GET IT OVER WITH. THEN COMES IN NEW YEARS! BEFORE YOU KNOW VALENTINE'S DAY WILL BE HERE. THEN IT WILL SEEM LIKE WE ARE BACK TO CHRISTMAS. LATER

FAMILY

I AM CURRENTLY TRACING MY ANCESTRY AND SATURDAY I GOT A WONDERFUL EMAIL FROM A COUSIN I HAVE NEVER MET. THE INFORMATION SHE SENT ME WAS A GREAT HELP. IT IS AMAZING WHEN YOU START SOMETHING LIKE THIS HOW MUCH DETAIL THERE IS. I HAVE DIRECT MEMBERS THAT WORKED IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE U.S CAPITOL BUILDING, A MEMBER THAT WAS IN THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR, BOTH WORLD WARS 1 & 2, A MEMBER THAT HUNG HIMSELF AND 1 THAT WAS MURDERED FOR $30 IN POMEROY OHIO! THE MURDER IN POMEROY LED TO OHIO'S FIRST TRIPLE EXECUTION!! ALL 3 MEN THAT TOOK PART GOT THE ELECTRIC CHAIR. IT IS CRAZY HOW MUCH TIME GOES INTO THE RESEARCH. IF IT WERE NOT FOR WONDERFUL PEOPLE LIKE MY "NEW" COUSIN, IT WOULD TAKE YEARS AND YEARS!! THANK YOU EVERYONE!!

YOU HAVES NAMES LIKE PETTITE, CLEMENS, JUSTICE AND TEJADA JUST TO NAME A FEW. ARE THEY NO BETTER THEN BONDS? EVERY MAJOR LEAGUE TEAM HAS SUPPOSEDLY HAD A PLAYER INVOLVED ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. AT LEAST 85 NAMES. THIS MAY BE BASEBALL'S BIGGEST SCANDAL SINCE THE BLACKSOX! I AM VERY SADDENED BECAUSE OF CLEMENS, HE WAS A PITCHER I LIKED TO WATCH. I THOUGHT HE WAS HONEST AND PURE. LATER!

Gas prices and the .22 Caliber Killers!!

The average gas price for Newark is down to $2.79 a gallon. It needs to drop about another dollar and it would be good!
I hope your Christmas shopping is getting done as you are running out of time. It will be here before you know it.
Today marked the 30th anniversary of what is described as "a year of fear" for Newark. From Dec. 10, 1977, to Dec. 10, 1978, two brothers -- Gary Lewingdon, of Kirkersville, and Thaddeus Lewingdon, of Glenford -- committed 10 random murders, typically during home invasions on a Friday or Saturday night. They are known as the .22 Caliber Killers because of their choice of weapon. Together, the men killed 10 people, shooting their victims multiple times.
